Hyde de Villaine - Californio Syrah - 2016

HdV is a collaboration between the Hyde family of Napa Valley and the historic de Villaine family of Burgundy — combining New-World vineyards with Old-World wine philosophy. The 2016 Californio Syrah presents savory exotic spice and dark plum and blueberry aromas, reflecting the cool-climate Syrah of Hyde Vineyard. On the palate, expect layers of smoked meat, fig, black pepper, and subtle refined tannins — an elegant, balanced, and terroir-driven Syrah.
