Hyde de Villaine - Californio Syrah - 2017

HdV is a collaboration between the Hyde family of Napa Valley and the historic de Villaine family of Burgundy — combining New-World vineyards with Old-World wine philosophy. HdV’s 2017 Californio Syrah reflects a marriage of Napa terroir and Burgundian-influenced winemaking — emphasizing elegance, restraint, and finesse. The 2017 vintage shows a medium-bodied red with savory spices, dark berries, hints of pepper, and well-integrated tannins. It is a refined Syrah with a nuanced fruit-to-earth spectrum and balanced, polished structure.
