As part of the prestigious Red Collection, it celebrates The Macallan's enduring relationship with the colour red, a tribute that traces back to founder Alexander Reid, whose surname translates as "The Red". Bottled at 42.2% ABV and presented in a handcrafted European oak presentation case upholstered with sustainable Scottish leather, it represents one of the rarest and most historically significant expressions ever released by the distillery.

On the nose, it opens with fresh apple, peach and grape, complemented by antique leather, rich vanilla and warming oak spice. On the palate, layers of dried fruits, polished oak, vanilla and almond unfold with remarkable elegance and depth, showcasing the complexity that only decades of patient maturation can achieve. The finish is exceptionally long and contemplative, with lingering dried fruits, oak spice and delicate nuttiness that continue to evolve long after each sip.
