This fourth release in the A Night On Earth series draws inspiration from New Zealand’s first light of the year, captured through the artistry of Bonnie Brown and the mastery of one of The Macallan Whisky Maker, Russell Greig. It’s a whisky that tells a story of renewal—a sensorial memory bank of beginnings.

From the first glance, its deep golden sand hue speaks of natural colour, untouched and honest. On the nose, you’re greeted by caramel hints of fired icing sugar, evoking Christmas pavlova, with a fleeting whisper of Manuka honey, unique to New Zealand. It’s unmistakably Scottish at its heart, yet carries an Antipodean narrative that feels adventurous and warm.

On the palate, the experience unfolds like a sunrise:
Rich caramel, mellow baking spices, vanilla ice cream, pavlova, icing sugar, stone fruits, and a subtle hint of coconut and Manuka honey. Each sip is layered, balanced, and quietly celebratory. The finish lingers sweet and fruity, with mellow spice and toasted oak—a gentle reminder of time well spent.

This whisky is crafted from sherry-seasoned European and American oak casks, with a delicate touch of American oak that once held bourbon, adding a soft sweetness. It’s a composition of warmth and elegance, designed for reflection and celebration.
